Omiš is easily reached from Split via the D8 coastal road (30 km, 35 minutes) or the faster inland D70 road via Dugopolje (20 minutes from the A1 motorway). The canyon road south of Omiš towards Zadvarje is narrow, winding, and not suitable for large vehicles or caravans. The D8 coastal road south of Omiš towards Makarska follows the cliffside and is spectacular but has no barriers in some sections — drive carefully at night. Paid parking in Omiš town centre is available near the beach.
