Korčula Dominče is the main car ferry port on the island of Korčula, located on the northeastern tip of the island directly opposite the town of Orebić on the Pelješac Peninsula. The ferry crossing between Dominče and Orebić takes just 15 minutes and operates frequently throughout the day, making it the fastest and most popular route for travellers arriving with a vehicle from the mainland.

From the port, Korčula Old Town — one of the best-preserved medieval walled cities on the Adriatic — is just 3 km along the coastal road. The town's distinctive circular street layout, designed to channel or block the wind depending on the neighbourhood, is a marvel of medieval urban planning.
With a rental car from Korčula Dominče, you can explore the entire island at leisure: drive west through the vineyards and olive groves to the ancient town of Blato (28 km), continue to the ferry port at Vela Luka (35 km), or seek out secluded beaches like Pupnatska Luka and Lumbarda's Prižba beach. The island's wines — Pošip white and Grk white — are among Croatia's finest and are produced by small family wineries scattered across the interior.

A small village and wine-growing area 6 km southeast of Korčula Town, home to the indigenous Grk white grape variety. The sandy beach at Prižba and the pebble beach at Tatinja are among the island's best.

A small town across the 15-minute ferry crossing, serving as the gateway to the Pelješac wine region and the town of Ston with its ancient salt pans and fortification walls.

The main road (DC116) running the length of Korčula island from Dominče/Korčula Town in the east to Vela Luka in the west is well-maintained and scenic but has narrow sections through the villages of Žrnovo, Pupnat, and Blato. Drive with care in summer when cyclists and pedestrians share the road. Petrol stations are available in Korčula Town, Blato, and Vela Luka — fill up before setting off on longer explorations as they are not as frequent as on the mainland.
