Hotel Plaza Duće is set in the small coastal resort of Duće, a quiet beach village approximately 18 km southeast of Split and 12 km northwest of Omiš on the scenic D8 coastal road. Duće has a beautiful 1.5 km long pebble beach with clear, shallow water backed by pinewood shade, making it one of the most pleasant stretches of coast between Split and Makarska. The village has a small marina, several beachside restaurants, and a relaxed holiday atmosphere.

From Duće, both Split and Omiš are within easy reach — Split is 25 minutes north and Omiš (with its famous Cetina River canyon and adventure sports) is 15 minutes south. The Makarska Riviera, with some of Croatia's most spectacular pebble beaches backed by the Biokovo mountain range, begins just beyond Omiš and stretches for 60 km towards Dubrovnik. A rental car from this central location opens up the entire Dalmatian coast.

Duće Beach
A beautiful, gently-sloping pebble beach 1.5 km long with exceptionally clear, shallow water ideal for families with children. Several beach bars and restaurants are set along the waterfront, and the pine shade provides welcome relief in summer heat.
Omiš and Cetina Canyon
The dramatic Cetina River canyon begins at the edge of Omiš town, just 12 km southeast. White-water rafting, zip-lining across the gorge, and the cliff-top pirate fortress of Starigrad are the main draws.
Split Old Town
Diocletian's Palace, the Riva promenade, and the cathedral are 25 minutes north via the D8 coastal road. The drive along the Split Riviera, passing through Stobrec and the town beaches, is pleasant and scenic.
Makarska Riviera
Beginning just south of Omiš, the Makarska Riviera is a 60 km stretch of stunning coastline with the Biokovo mountain rising dramatically behind crystal-clear pebble beaches. The glass-floor Biokovo Skywalk (1,228 m altitude) is a must.
Kjøre Tips
The D8 coastal road through Duće is well-surfaced but can be congested in peak season (July–August), particularly in the late afternoon when beach-goers are heading back to Split. The road is single-lane in each direction with no overtaking opportunities through the village itself. For quicker travel to Split or south to Makarska, the inland D70 road via Dugopolje connects to the A1 motorway and avoids the coastal congestion entirely. Parking at Hotel Plaza is available for guests.
